According to Foot Mercato , the Saudi Arabian side have begun talks with the Bundesliga champions to discuss the possibility of signing the South Korean international this summer.
Al Nassr are eyeing Kim as a direct replacement for Aymeric Laporte, who is leaving the club and returning to Europe. Kim is known for his extensive experience playing in Europe's top leagues. From his stellar performances in Serie A with Napoli to his impressive performances in the Bundesliga, he has proven his mettle against top-class opponents.
Although no formal agreement has been signed, negotiations between Al Nassr and Bayern are ongoing, with Kim indicating that he is open to joining Al Nassr if a suitable offer comes along.
Kim joined Bayern Munich in early 2023 after a breakout season with Napoli. The German club activated a €50 million release clause to bring the South Korean international to the club. However, the arrival of new signing Jonathan Tah from Leverkusen this summer has made it difficult for Kim to hold down a starting spot.
Al Nassr are currently focusing on a series of pre-season friendlies. Their next match will be against Spanish side Almeria on August 3.
