Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Department of Industry and Trade, said that from 2018 to present, Ninh Binh province has implemented the OCOP product expansion program (One Commune One Product Program), achieving remarkable results with 211 products ranked OCOP. Of which, 73 products achieved 4-star rating and 138 products achieved 3-star rating. To promote the connection and promotion of OCOP products, as well as typical products of the province, the use of e-commerce platforms and social networks has become an important solution, helping to bring quality and safe products to consumers.
However, Mr. Binh also shared that although e-commerce platforms bring many opportunities, many production and business entities in the province are still facing difficulties in building and implementing solutions to effectively utilize e-commerce channels. One of the major challenges is the limitation of human resources, especially the lack of experienced traders, leading to the ineffective support of businesses and production facilities from e-commerce platforms and social networks.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Department of Industry and Trade spoke at the Conference
To overcome this problem, Mr. Binh emphasized that one of the important solutions is that the sales staff of the units need to be properly trained. They must have enough skills to build brands, effectively introduce products on e-commerce platforms and social networks, and at the same time focus on investing in technology to improve quality and diversify product designs. Therefore, Mr. Binh hopes that the eComDX Center will provide detailed instructions and provide in-depth training courses, helping businesses and production facilities to deploy effective e-commerce solutions, thereby promoting OCOP products to develop more strongly in the future.
At the Conference, Mr. Vu Minh Ngoc, representative of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) - eComDX shared the latest information on e-commerce in Vietnam, along with market trends and forecasts in 2025.
Accordingly, e-commerce is no longer a new trend but has become an essential factor in today's digital economy . In this context, Vietnam's e-commerce will open up great opportunities but also face many challenges. According to Mr. Ngoc, strong digital transformation and increased competition require businesses to quickly grasp new trends such as Shoppertainment and AI, in order to create sustainable competitive advantages. At the same time, optimizing logistics costs and ensuring safety and transparency in online transactions will play a decisive role in the success of businesses. Proactive application of technology and innovation will help businesses not only survive but also thrive on e-commerce platforms. Therefore, if Ninh Binh businesses in particular and Vietnamese businesses in general can adapt quickly and make the most of current opportunities, they will be able to conquer the global market.
Mr. Vu Minh Ngoc, representative of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - eComDX
To do that, Mr. Ngoc encouraged Ninh Binh businesses to equip themselves with solid knowledge of e-commerce platforms, including the process of creating an account, building a store, and optimizing business strategies to attract customers. These skills not only help businesses understand online tools but also help them take advantage of them to increase revenue and improve competitiveness.
“Joining e-commerce platforms right now is an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises in Ninh Binh to expand their markets and sales channels. Platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop are currently powerful tools that help businesses easily reach customers and expand their vision.” eComDX representative shared.
At the conference, businesses, cooperatives and production facilities in Ninh Binh were equipped with the necessary skills to operate online stores on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. These are skills that can help Ninh Binh businesses more easily bring typical products, OCOP products, and OCOP products of the province not only to reach widely domestically but also to the international market.
Mr. Cao Quy Long, representative of eComDX Center, guides businesses in practice at the Conference.
To help businesses in Ninh Binh maximize the potential of e-commerce, eComDX experts have also provided detailed instructions on building online stores, optimizing business strategies, and applying AI solutions to analyze customer behavior. These instructions will help businesses optimize operational processes, thereby improving business efficiency.
In addition, experts also introduced methods of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in online business. Students were clearly aware of the importance of applying AI to analyze customer data, personalize marketing strategies and optimize sales processes. AI not only helps automate tasks, minimize errors but also improves work efficiency, thereby helping businesses increase revenue effectively.
Mr. Pham Quang The, representative of the cooperative for production and consumption of safe agricultural products in Khanh Thanh commune
The trainees attending the training conference all expressed their excitement at being updated with new knowledge. Mr. Pham Quang The, representative of the Khanh Thanh Commune Safe Agricultural Products Production and Consumption Cooperative, shared: "Our cooperative provides clean agricultural products, consumed at stores and supermarkets in and outside the province. On average, we consume about 10 tons of vegetables, tubers, and fruits every day, with much higher productivity and value than rice cultivation. Although we are a cooperative producing OCOP products, we used to have difficulty expanding the market and reaching customers outside the local area. The course helped us realize a new opportunity: bringing products to e-commerce platforms. Learning how to apply artificial intelligence (AI) in analyzing customer data and optimizing online marketing strategies has helped me better understand the role of technology in business. We will apply this knowledge to improve our sales strategy, reach the right customers, and develop strongly in the future. Before taking the course, I had only heard about e-commerce electronics without really understanding and not knowing how to put products on online trading floors. After completing the course, I have a clearer view of platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop."
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students are also directly instructed on how to practice setting up accounts and doing business on e-commerce platforms, and how to create sales images and videos from AI.
Experts also supported students step by step in creating accounts, setting up booths and posting products on e-commerce platforms, helping them become more confident in applying the knowledge they have learned in practice. Businesses can practice right in class and master the skills of operating online booths.
In the coming time, the eComDX Center will continue to promote the development of e-commerce human resources in localities, focusing on improving knowledge and skills for businesses, cooperatives and business households. By organizing regular training and coaching programs, the eComDX Center will help local management agencies update new e-commerce policies, while supporting businesses to overcome difficulties in production and business. These efforts will promote the sustainable development of e-commerce, create high-quality products and services, meet market demand and affirm the position of localities in the national digital economy.
