Polish businesses interested in Vietnamese market

Poland currently maintains the highest economic growth rate in the EU. After joining the EU in 2004, Poland has implemented many reforms to integrate into the economic space of the union. As a result, the average GDP growth in the period 2004 - 2024 reached about 3.5%, the unemployment rate has decreased from over 19% to about 5%.

Poland is the 6th largest economy in Europe (after Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands). Poland's exports have increased 8 times to 350.4 billion Euros with mechanical engineering products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, wood products, agricultural products, etc.

In recent times, Poland's main trading partners have been the EU and China. Bilateral trade between Poland and Vietnam has reached approximately 4 billion USD. However, recent geopolitical fluctuations and the rapid increase in economic potential have caused Poland to make important adjustments in its foreign policy in general and its trade strategy in particular. In particular, Vietnam, Poland's largest trading partner in ASEAN, is identified as a bridgehead for Polish goods to access the Southeast Asian market.

In order to respond to the interest of Polish enterprises in the Vietnamese market, on June 4, 2025, the Embassy of Vietnam in Poland in coordination with the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce organized a workshop to introduce the potential for business cooperation and investment in Vietnam to Polish enterprises with the participation of more than 60 Polish enterprises in the fields of agriculture , food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, machinery manufacturing, etc. The delegates watched a new video clip of the Trade Promotion Agency introducing the Vietnamese economy and listened to the Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai summarize the strategic development orientations of Vietnam in the coming time and the potential areas of cooperation between the two countries. In response to the interests of Polish enterprises wishing to access the Vietnamese market, Counselor Nguyen Son provided documents and briefly introduced the 3rd Vietnam International Sourcing Expo to be held in September in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City and respectfully invite the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce to form a delegation to attend. Mr. Janusz Piechocinski - President of the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce expressed his interest and called on member businesses to consider registering to attend the Fair.
