At the meeting, Mr. Christoph Prommersberger expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Hung Yen province, and highly appreciated the province's potential for socio -economic development, especially in the industrial sector. The Dutch Deputy Ambassador gave an overview of the cooperative relationship between the Netherlands and Vietnam, emphasizing that the Netherlands is currently the 8th largest investor in Vietnam with a bilateral trade turnover of about 12 billion USD in 2024. Mr. Christoph Prommersberger said that although the Netherlands is not a large country, it ranks 18th in the world in economic development and stands out as a transit hub for goods in Europe, with strengths in overseas investment. On this occasion, Mr. Christoph Prommersberger introduced to the leaders of Hung Yen province about CTP Netherlands Company, one of the leading industrial park developers in the Netherlands and Europe. According to him, Vietnam is the first country outside Europe that CTP has chosen to invest in building a chain of high-tech industrial parks, in which Hung Yen is one of the localities that CTP Netherlands is particularly interested in. The Dutch Deputy Ambassador expressed his desire to learn more about the investment environment, mechanisms, policies as well as industrial development plans in Hung Yen province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the goodwill of cooperation from the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Dutch CTP Company. He emphasized that the proposals of the Deputy Ambassador are very consistent with the development orientation of Hung Yen province, especially in the period when the province is focusing on attracting high-tech, clean and environmentally friendly industrial projects. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Hung Yen currently has many favorable conditions for industrial development, from geographical location, regional traffic infrastructure to abundant labor resources and open investment attraction policies. In recent times, the province has been receiving many large investors from Japan, Korea, etc., including many industrial park infrastructure investors. Hung Yen currently has a lot of room for development, with a number of new industrial parks planned, ready to welcome strategic investors. The province is also flexible in calling for secondary investors in industrial parks that already have synchronous infrastructure.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Dutch enterprises will study investment in some new industrial zones of the province, especially high-tech models towards sustainable development. The province is committed to always accompanying enterprises, creating favorable conditions for administrative procedures, providing maximum support within the legal framework, ensuring close and effective coordination between functional agencies and investors.
