According to an update from PVF, midfielder Hendrio Araújo da Silva has been registered by Hanoi as a naturalized player under the Vietnamese name Do Hoang Hen. However, the Brazilian-born player still has to wait for the naturalization process to be completed before he can play for the capital team.

Hendrio signed a contract with Binh Dinh on December 1, 2019 and according to FIFA regulations, he is only eligible for naturalization after 5 years, that is, in December 2025. However, if calculated based on the time he arrived in Vietnam around October or November 2019, Hendrio could receive citizenship earlier and be eligible to play for Hanoi from October 2025. Thus, he missed the first 6 matches of the season, including 5 V.League matches and 1 National Cup match. On the contrary, if he has to wait until December 2025 to be naturalized, Hendrio will miss 13 matches before the V.League takes a break to make way for the SEA Games.

Since leaving Nam Dinh (March 2025) and signing a contract with Hanoi (May 2025), Hendrio could be out of action for 6-10 months, a fairly long time for a professional player. Regarding the opportunity to wear the Vietnamese national team jersey, Do Hoang Hen could debut as early as March 2026 in the Asian Cup qualifying match against Malaysia.
