Novak Djokovic is having a difficult season as he has failed consecutively at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami Open, Monte Carlo Masters, Madrid Open. Reaching the semi-finals of Roland Garros 2025 was considered a great success for Nole, before he lost comprehensively to Jannik Sinner.

After Roland Garros, Djokovic decided to skip a number of tournaments to recover from an injury, which has left him behind in the rankings. The Serbian is ranked 6th in the ATP rankings and will be the 6th seed at Wimbledon in England from June 30 to July 13.

Djokovic has not won another ATP title since the ATP Finals in November 2023. The 38-year-old star is still looking for his 100th ATP title and has little hope of winning his 25th Grand Slam. If he gets past the first four matches, Djokovic will likely face one of the four players Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev, Draper in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2025.

Jack Draper was the standout name last week, gaining 100 points to climb to 4th place with 4,650 points, the best result in the young British player's career. Draper surpassed Taylor Fritz (4,635 points, down one place to 5th) and pushed Novak Djokovic down to 6th place (4,630 points).

The ATP rankings released on June 23 also saw many changes. Lorenzo Musetti rose to 7th place with 4,140 points. Holger Rune rose 90 points to 8th place with 3,530 points. Ben Shelton maintained his 10th place with 3,170 points.

Last week, Alcaraz won the Queen's Club, while Sinner unexpectedly lost in the second round of the Halle Open to champion Alexander Bublik. Alcaraz was awarded 450 points, bringing his total to 9,300, leaving him only 1,130 behind Sinner. The Italian was deducted 450 points, narrowing the gap between the two talented young players.

Alcaraz now has 5 ATP titles this season, has a streak of 18 consecutive wins and is considered the number one candidate for the 2025 Wimbledon championship. Sinner is under great pressure from Alcaraz in the race for the world number one position this year.
