From cheap to 16 million VND nightmare
After being consulted via Zalo, with the introduction "Doctor Lan is working at Da Nang General Hospital, famous in the industry", Ms. Hoa agreed to go to "Dr. Lan" clinic to perform labiaplasty with the "hospital listed price" of 2 million VND.
On the 4th floor of the "Busan Beauty Institute" facility, she was taken to a makeshift minor surgery room. It was still "Doctor Lan" who performed the minor surgery. While the surgery was in progress, the "doctor" kept giving unusual diagnoses: "genital warts", "thin blood", "must burn off excess tissue"... and quoted prices for each new item.
"Burn this one for 7 million, do this one for 3 million more, thin blood requires special thread, each thread costs 1 million, need 3 threads...", this person kept talking while "drawing illness".
Worried about her health and not having time to think, Ms. Hoa transferred all 16 million VND she had with her. When the total cost increased to more than 21 million VND, along with 1.5 million VND for medicine, she began to doubt.
She asked for a prescription to buy the medicine herself, and was startled when the prescription only included a few common pain relievers and antibiotics, with a total value of less than 150,000 VND.
More than two weeks later, the wound still had not healed, even though the "doctor" said that the special stitches would only heal in 3-4 days. The shape of the private area was deformed as the stitches were open in many places and extremely ugly. She went to a medical facility for a check-up and was told that the wound had not yet dried on the outside, so no further examination could be performed.
Ms. Hoa choked up: "The advertisement said it was a cold-beam cut, painless, no bleeding. In reality, it was a razor blade, and when the anesthetic ran out, more had to be injected. I didn't see any plasma machines, and the room was old, very different from the pictures they posted online."
Too scared, she did not dare to return for "warranty" as the staff suggested. It is worth mentioning that on the day Ms. Hoa did it, another person was also asked to pay more money, but this person strongly refused and only did the initial 2 million package.

Take off blouse, crawl through restaurant to avoid inspection
On the afternoon of June 24, upon receiving a report about a cosmetic facility impersonating a doctor from Da Nang Hospital, an interdisciplinary force including inspectors from the Department of Health, the Hai Chau District Health Department and the Thach Thang Ward Police immediately arrived to conduct a surprise inspection of the facility at 120 Quang Trung.
At around 2:30 p.m., a customer from Quang Nam was brought to the table to prepare for a minor surgery on her private area. At the same time, the inspection team knocked on the door of the facility.
Downstairs, the staff used the excuse "we don't have any guests here yet"... to stall for time. But upstairs, hidden cameras clearly recorded the chaos. "Doctor Lan" abandoned the minor surgery before it could even begin, took off her gloves, threw her blouse down the gutter, and hurriedly changed into plain clothes with another young staff member, sneaked out through the restaurant next door.
The customer was panicking and didn't understand what was going on. Staff Nguyen reassured him: "It's just a surprise inspection by the tax department. They charge taxes based on the number of customers, so I said there's nothing to do here. Now you change your clothes, I'll take you down the other side, where you go through the restaurant."
Seeing the customer hesitate, to avoid being discovered, Nguyen quickly locked the door connecting the two houses. When the inspection team went up to all the floors of the facility to check, they found no operating room or doctors, the scrubs and surgical gowns were thrown behind the gutter. The secret door was locked. The staff said "it can't be opened".
Under the camera, "Doctor Lan" and her companion were sitting calmly at a nearby coffee shop, pulling their masks up, pretending to be unrelated. But the anklet, two unique bracelets, and the exact details of the clinic slippers were still intact, revealing that they were the ones who had just left the minor surgery room. Not long after, they got in the car and left when they saw someone suspicious.

Unlicensed facility, owner in... Hanoi
Working over the phone, a woman named Ngo Thi Van, claiming to be the owner of the facility currently living in Hanoi, said that she had just rented this house as a beauty salon and was applying for a license so she had not performed any beauty treatments yet, only "letting employees stay".
However, Ms. Van's initial account had many inconsistencies, along with the recorded scene. The authorities invited Ms. Van to work and said they would proceed to consolidate the case file.
Many illegal clinics use the same tricks
The investigation revealed that a series of illegal cosmetic establishments were operating with the same tricks as "Busan" in Da Nang. When raided by the authorities, these establishments immediately moved locations to avoid detection.
