Quang Ngai: Identified the subject who repeatedly hit a girl on the head with a plastic chair

On August 12, Quang Ngai Provincial Police investigated and handled the case of a girl being hit in the head with a plastic chair by her brother in Nghia Lo Ward (Quang Ngai Province).

Initially, the police identified the man who used a chair to hit his sister in the head as H.Th.T. (born in 1991, residing in Phuoc Giang commune, Quang Ngai province), who is working in Ho Chi Minh City. The authorities are contacting and inviting the subject to work and assist in the investigation.

According to security camera footage, on June 18, 2025, T. and her mother, Ms. N.Th.H. (born in 1969), went to the rented room of Ms. HTKT (born in 1995, T.'s younger sister) in Nghia Lo ward to advise her sister to go home. While talking, T. and HTKT got into an argument, and T. used a plastic chair to repeatedly hit his sister on the head.

The incident happened in June, but it was not until August 11 that T. posted information about the incident on social media, along with a camera clip recording the beating, along with a status expressing his indignation. After only a few hours, the clip attracted millions of views and thousands of shares, causing public outrage.

According to a leader of Quang Ngai Provincial Police, the unit has grasped information about the incident and is directing specialized departments to investigate and clarify for strict handling according to regulations.
