The Ministry of Education and Training issued a decision to determine the threshold to ensure input quality in 2025 for the group of university and college teacher training majors in 2025.
According to the Decision, the threshold to ensure input quality from high school graduation exam scores for admission to majors in the group of majors for university and college teacher training in 2025 for candidates in region 3 has a minimum score (without coefficient) of all combinations of 3 exams/subjects, no bonus points, regardless of the exam results of candidates studying the 2006 and 2018 General Education Program.
Specifically, the admission threshold for university-level teacher training programs is 19 points. For Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy, it is 18 points for the admission combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other admission combinations are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
The admission threshold for the College-level Early Childhood Education program is 16.5 points for the admission combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other admission combinations are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
According to the Admission Regulations, the entrance threshold (floor score) for teacher training majors and majors in the health sector with a practice certificate is announced annually by the Ministry of Education and Training for regular training admission methods using high school graduation exam results.
In 2023 and 2024, the minimum score for university-level teacher training majors and college-level Early Childhood Education majors will remain stable, ranging from 17 to 19 points (depending on the major).
