On June 18, the Departmentof Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province announced the admission scores for grade 10 of high school for the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, the admission score for the specialized math class at Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa city is 45.34; chemistry 44.1; physics 41.95; information technology 46.75; literature 47.4; history 47.95; geography 45.45; English 46.15. Biology is the subject with the highest admission score at 49.4 points.

This year, the top scorer in computer science, and also the top scorer in all majors, is Le Nguyen Minh Hieu, a student at Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School, Thanh Hoa City, with 57.25 points. Minh Hieu's score in both majors and English is 10 points.
In the non-specialized high schools this year, the highest admission score for the first choice is Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa city with 25.15 points. The lowest admission score for the first choice is Quan Hoa High School, Quan Hoa district with 7.95 points.
According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, the admission scores for grade 10 in the mountainous and lowland areas are different. Many schools in the lowland areas have high scores, such as: Dao Duy Tu High School 22.95 points; Nguyen Trai High School 22.05 points, To Hien Thanh High School (Thanh Hoa city) 17.95 points, Quang Xuong 1 High School 17.8 points.
However, in mountainous areas, many schools have admission scores below 10, such as: Quan Son Secondary and High School, Quan Son district, with 8.6 points; Ba Thuoc High School, Ba Thuoc district, 8.75 points.
This year's score distribution is considered to have increased slightly compared to previous years because the questions were at a moderate level, closely following the curriculum and not challenging for students; especially the English subject had many 10s.
The entrance exam for grade 10 public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year in Thanh Hoa will take place over two days, June 3 and 4.
There were 43,578 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to 89 public high schools in the area; of which 1,188 candidates took the entrance exam to grade 10 at Lam Son High School for the Gifted. After 3 days of the exam, there were 43,439 candidates taking the exam; reaching a rate of 99.68%.
This year's exam in Thanh Hoa has many innovations. The Department of Education and Training has organized a common exam to enroll students in grade 10 of Lam Son High School for the Gifted, grade 10 of Ethnic Minority High School and grade 10 of public high schools.
Candidates taking the entrance exam to Lam Son High School for the Gifted, in addition to taking the general exam, also take the specialized subject assessment exam with a coefficient of 3.
