As one of the prominent artists participating in the celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, rapper Den Vau shared emotional and sincere thoughts about this special experience.

Different from the romantic appearance on stage, Den Vau appeared in the role of a proud son of Vietnam, ready to contribute to the great national holiday. During these days, the male artist put aside all work to participate in the parade practice with artists in the cultural and sports sector.

Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Den Vau confirmed that he proactively texted People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, to be included in the parade lineup. This is a rare opportunity, especially for a non-public artist like him.

"Honestly, I couldn't believe it. In addition to being in the parade, I also got to meet and interact with the people's artists, whom I have admired, watched and listened to since I was a child. Talking to and standing next to them was a great pride.

I brought the souvenir photos home to show my parents. That made me extremely touched and proud,” Den Vau shared.

When hearing the news, the rapper's parents did not say much, but he felt their joy and pride, because to be in the parade, the artist selection criteria are extremely strict.

Den Vau said that although he needs to arrange his schedule to participate in training, for him, this is a job that needs to be prioritized and is not difficult at all. "When the leader asks me to be present on the right day and time, I am always ready and never late," he affirmed.

On the afternoon of August 28, Den Vau was one of the artists who arrived early before the parade practice of the cultural and sports block. While waiting, the owner of the hit song Cooking for You sometimes sat quietly alone, sometimes chatted with the veteran artists.

When asked about his feelings during the training and march, Den Vau confided: “The moment of crossing Ba Dinh Square was so sacred that it was hard to describe. At that time, I remembered Uncle Ho's instructions and the messages from previous generations that young people must know how to love and preserve peace.”

The male rapper said that it was a great memory, an unforgettable mark.

“Even now, when I think back, I still feel excited. This is an honor that not everyone has. Our country has gone through so much pain and loss to have the peace we have today.

The ceremony is also a reminder to the younger generation that everything we have was paid for with the blood and sweat of many generations of our ancestors," he said.

For Den Vau, the difficulties of the weather and the hardships of training are nothing compared to the sacrifices of the soldiers.

“I always think that what I have experienced is nothing compared to the hardships and sacrifices of the soldiers who are protecting the Fatherland day and night. That thought makes me tell myself to try harder and absolutely not to complain,” he emphasized.

The male artist also expressed special emotion when witnessing the People's Artists and Meritorious Artists persistently practicing under the hot sun.

“They wear heavy costumes, uncomfortable shoes, and thick stage makeup… but still seriously complete their tasks. Compared to them, my difficulties are nothing,” he confided.

Besides, the image of Hanoi people cheering, enthusiastically supporting and bringing water to everyone also moved the male rapper.

“The cheers that rang out at that moment were not just for me, but for the country, for all the people who are protecting the Fatherland day and night. I believe that it is an extremely great thing, a recognition and gratitude for those who are always upright and dedicated,” Den Vau confided.
