Accordingly, Dak Lak province currently has 4 border communes adjacent to Mondulkiri province of the Kingdom of Cambodia: Buon Don, Ia Lop, Ia Rve, Ea Bung.

The border communes have 13 schools from primary to secondary level (7 primary schools, 6 secondary schools) with 4,387 students. The current state of school facilities in the border communes is degraded, lacking functional rooms, and unable to meet the requirements for teaching according to the 2018 General Education Program.
In the area of 4 communes, there are currently no high schools, no boarding schools, no semi-boarding schools, but the demand for boarding accommodation of students is very large. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training proposed to build a new primary and secondary boarding school in each border commune.
After the inter-level boarding school is built, the Department of Education and Training will advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct communes to transfer students and teachers from local schools to the new school and supplement the teacher quota to ensure teaching conditions according to regulations.
