The above bold project has just been sent by Amadive Tourism Services Company Limited to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and related units.
Sheng Li shipwreck to become artificial reef
According to Amadive’s proposal, the company proposed to sink the Sheng Li ship to create a unique and high-class diving spot in the Con Dao sea area. This would help attract domestic and foreign tourists, develop green tourism, and aim to experience nature in Con Dao.
Amadive believes that the project will contribute to enhancing the tourism value in Con Dao. According to Amadive, the shipwreck diving site will be a unique and different tourism product, attracting high-end customers, thereby creating more room for growth and creating better quality jobs for local people.
The shipwreck will become an artificial reef, providing shelter and breeding grounds for many marine species, contributing to increased biodiversity.

Amadive believes that creating an attractive diving destination could help reduce pressure on natural coral reefs, helping them recover and grow more sustainably.
"Amadive is committed to implementing this project in accordance with legal procedures and regulations, ensuring maritime safety, environmental protection and marine landscape. We have carefully studied the technical and economic aspects of the project, believing in its feasibility as well as the long-term benefits it will bring to Con Dao in particular and Vietnam's tourism industry in general," the company stated in the document.
Amadive also hopes that the management agency will consider approving the project and provide guidance on completing the necessary legal procedures, creating conditions for implementation, contributing to the sustainable development of Con Dao sea tourism.
