(NLDO)- In 2025, the Ministry of Public Security will speed up progress and soon complete investigations of major cases according to the plan of the Steering Committee.
On December 6, the Ministry of Public Security said that in 2024, the Investigation Agency proactively identified many hot, complicated issues that are prone to corruption and negativity, concluded investigations and proposed prosecutions and trials in accordance with reality and the law to deter and warn the general public according to the motto "focus on handling one case, warning an entire region, an area", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions". Thereby, many major cases of public concern were promptly detected and handled, typically cases occurring at Thuan An, Phuc Son, Xuyen Viet Oil Groups, etc.

Regarding waste prevention, the Ministry of Public Security has directed professional forces to focus on handling a number of cases causing loss and waste in construction investment due to prolongation, capital increase, ineffective investment; waste in land and mineral resource management. In particular, Quang Ninh Provincial Police prosecuted the Director of Thien Nam Joint Stock Company for violating regulations on resource exploitation; the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency prosecuted a case causing especially large loss and waste of mineral resources occurring at Hung Thinh Company; prosecuted to clarify violations in the investment process of the Ban Mong Reservoir Project ( Nghe An ) due to delays, having to adjust the total investment many times, causing great waste to the state budget...
In 2025 and the following years, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security will focus on advising on better advisory work, perfecting legal institutions to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.
The Ministry of Public Security also identified the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity as one of the top key tasks; considering the prevention and combat of waste as a fight against "internal invaders"; promptly taking specific measures to make the practice of thrift and the prevention and combat of waste a behavioral culture of officers and soldiers, becoming "voluntary" and "conscious" like daily food and clothing.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Security continues to promote administrative reform, streamlining the apparatus, digital transformation, publicity and transparency in the operations of agencies and units, in which digital transformation plays an important role in contributing to preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
Speed up the progress and promptly conclude the investigation of major cases according to the Steering Committee's plan, cases related to officials and party members... to serve the political tasks of the Party and State and contribute to ensuring the stability and socio-economic development of the country.
