Promoting propaganda about sea and islands for people in An Giang province

The reporter of the Naval Region 5 Command focused on informing and propagating contents such as the position, role, and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in the cause of national construction and defense; the current situation in our country's seas; the viewpoints, goals, and solutions to the struggle to protect the sovereignty of our seas and islands of our Party and State, and some outstanding results of the Vietnam People's Navy in performing assigned political tasks.

The reporter of the Naval Region 5 Command also disseminated and propagated Directive 45/CT-TTg dated December 13, 2017 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the warning of the European Commission in the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; legal provisions and forms of handling for fishing vessels violating illegal fishing in foreign waters.

Colonel Nguyen Duc Cau, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Naval Region 5 Command, informed about the current situation in our country's seas in An Phu district.

Information and propaganda activities of Naval Region 5 contribute to continuing to thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions and directives, especially Resolution of the 13th Central Committee, Session 8, on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation", Resolution of the 12th Central Committee, Session 8, on "Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, vision to 2045".

At the same time, promote propaganda and education for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to deeply understand the position, role and potential of the sea and islands in the cause of national construction and protection; the goals, guidelines and policies of our Party and State on sustainable development of the marine and island economy associated with building a national defense and people's security posture at sea; promote the combined strength of the political system and the community in participating in socio-economic development, associated with strengthening national defense and security, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Reporters from the Naval Region 5 Command and delegates from the Agencies and Enterprises of An Giang province discussed some contents about the current situation of Vietnam's seas and islands.

Previously, in May 2024, the Naval Region 5 Command coordinated with the Women's Union and An Giang Provincial Youth Union to organize information and propaganda about the sea and islands for more than 1,000 cadres, provincial women's union members and students of An Giang University.
