Awakening the green plateau of La Vuong in Binh Dinh

On August 31, the People's Committee of Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province organized the tourism festival "La Vuong - the green plateau beckons" with the participation of thousands of people from all over. This is a tourism event that Hoai Nhon town has painstakingly organized with the desire to turn this place into an attractive tourist destination, especially for those who love nature.

The festival will take place from August 31 to September 1 with many activities such as the "La Vuong Green Dragon" parade festival; the art program "La Vuong - the green plateau beckons"; promoting outstanding products; drum art, lithophone, Cham dance; sports , folk games... Especially, the first La Vuong discovery run - Fleur De Lys La Vuong Trail 2024.

Located at an altitude of over 700m above sea level, La Vuong plateau (Hoai Son commune, Hoai Nhon town) is considered a miniature Da Lat because of its cool climate. La Vuong has diverse vegetation and forest ecosystems. The unique feature of La Vuong is that visitors can experience four seasons: spring - summer - autumn - winter.

There are also places like Indochina Junction, Truong Luy, Doi Thong Airport, Bang Lac Beach, Cau Lay Lake, Chua Mountain, Co Tien Stream, Heaven's Gate, Ba Tang Waterfall... suitable for developing various types of forest ecotourism and experiencing terrain sports.

However, for a long time, this plateau has been like a sleeping princess because there is still no electricity, the road is only suitable for a few vehicles, the infrastructure is not complete, and there are no tourism facilities or techniques.

Chairman of Hoai Nhon Town People's Committee Le Dang Tuan said that to "awaken" La Vuong, the locality has built a nearly 20km long road to help people come here to visit and have fun easily.

Looking at the flow of people and vehicles rushing on the 7m concrete road running from the foot of the mountain to La Vuong, one feels that this green plateau is closer to tourists than ever and the new road has helped exploit the potential and advantages of this new tourist land of Binh Dinh.

"The Hoai Nhon town tourism festival 'La Vuong - The green plateau beckons' is a new start for tourism development thinking, creating a "push" to promote Hoai Nhon land and people. The town will quickly complete infrastructure conditions so that La Vuong will soon become an attractive destination, attracting tourists", Mr. Tuan shared.

According to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, to develop La Vuong, the People's Committee recently launched a contest to select design ideas for the planning of the La Vuong eco-tourism development area.

The designed scale of La Vuong is about 500 hectares, with the types of tourism implemented including eco-resort tourism (organized according to the model of Glamping nature-based resorts with 300-350 Glamping); green sports and entertainment activities (horse riding, farm experiences, nature exploration tours of Chua Mountain Forest...); green lifestyle tourism activities (marathon races, mountain biking, resort tourism combined with meditation, yoga...).

The total planned investment is about 700 billion VND, of which the cost of compensation and site clearance is about 80 billion VND.
