Preliminary assessment of preparation of conditions for implementing electronic medical records at Thach An Medical Center

On the afternoon of August 18, a working delegation of the Department of Health led by Mr. Trieu Thanh Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Health inspected, reviewed and assessed the actual conditions for implementing electronic medical records at Thach An Medical Center.

Thach An Medical Center is a regional medical center with basic technical expertise and a scale of 109 beds, the number of medical examinations and the number of inpatient treatments are both at an average of 65/day. In recent times, Thach An Medical Center has been invested in synchronous and modern construction of infrastructure, equipment and information technology ; the network system, management software and medical equipment have been gradually standardized, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment and improving the effectiveness of treatment for people.

At the working session, the Evaluation Team inspected and reviewed the conditions for implementing electronic medical records (EMR) at Thach An Medical Center in terms of infrastructure, equipment and according to the criteria specified in Circular No. 54/2017/TT-BYT; Circular No. 13/2025/TT-BYT of the Minister of Health on information technology infrastructure; Operation management software; Hospital information system (HIS); Image storage and transmission system (PACS); Laboratory information system (LIS); Non-functional criteria group and Information security and safety criteria group.

After listening to the representative of Thach An Medical Center report and explain in detail the level of completion of criteria, some difficulties and limitations in the process of implementing the BAĐT dossier, and proposing solutions to build hospital digital management, comrade Trieu Thanh Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Health directed Thach An Medical Center to fully absorb comments and suggestions, make efforts to overcome difficulties in infrastructure and human resources, urgently review and complete the dossier to proceed to appraisal and official operation. At the same time, he requested that the members of the evaluation team be aware of their responsibilities, not only stopping at inspection but also actively guiding and supporting the unit in the process of completing the appraisal dossier .

He also acknowledged and appreciated VNPT 's support in directly guiding and supporting equipment, machinery, techniques, vehicles, etc. for the units. At the same time , he hoped that VNPT would continue to closely coordinate with Thach An Medical Center and Cao Bang Health Department to successfully complete the task of implementing electronic medical records in the coming time . According to the plan, the Department of Health will conduct the appraisal of the BAĐT dossier at Thach An Medical Center on August 22 and complete it before September 20, 2025. The entire Cao Bang Health sector strives to complete the implementation of the BAĐT dossier throughout the province before September 30, 2025.
