- On the afternoon of August 26, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province visited and presented financial support to two sisters: Luong Phuong Uyen (born in 2010) and Luong Gia Huy (born in 2015), Tam Thanh ward. This is an activity within the "Godmother" model of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Uyen and Huy are currently living with their grandmother. Their mother passed away due to COVID-19 and their father works far away.

Representatives of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and members of the delegation presented funds and gifts to the two children.

Given the circumstances of the two children's families, since 2022, the Provincial Party Committee of the Fatherland Front has implemented support at the rate of 500,000 VND/month/child, equivalent to 6 million VND/year/child. The support fund for the two children is given in 2 installments/year, on the occasion of Lunar New Year and the beginning of the new school year.

During this time, the two students were supported with 6 million VND in cash along with gifts such as notebooks, school bags, school supplies, etc. to help them have better conditions for the new school year. Along with giving out funds and gifts, the members of the delegation kindly asked about the health, learning and living conditions, and preparations for the new school year of the two students. The members of the delegation also encouraged Uyen and Huy to strive to overcome all difficulties, strive to study and practice well to achieve high results in the coming school year...

It is known that the "Godmother" model of the Provincial Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to be implemented until the end of 2028. The funding source is mobilized from the contributions of cadres, party members and employees of the Provincial Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The implementation of the model aims to help children in difficult circumstances to rise up in life and demonstrate the spirit of mutual love, spreading good values ​​in the community.
