On the evening of June 9, the Malaysian team had an official training session at Bukit Jalil Stadium to prepare for the match against Vietnam in the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup taking place tomorrow (June 10).

With a strong squad of mixed-race or naturalized players of up to 18/29 people, the Malaysian team stands out on the training field with their tall physique and impressive technical ability.

Among them, 5 new faces just joined a week ago including central defender Facundo Garces (Argentina), Jon Irazabal (Spain), striker Rodrigo Holgado, Imanol Machuca (Argentina) and Joao Figueiredo (Brazil) look unmistakable.

Winger Imanol Machuca (1.7m tall) is valued at 2.5 million euros by Transfermarkt, the highest value in the Malaysian team. Meanwhile, striker Joao Figueiredo (1.8m) is valued at 2.1 million euros.

Even centre-back Facundo Garces is valued at 2 million euros. This 1.91m tall player is very notable when playing for Deportivo Alaves in the Spanish Championship (La Liga).

Center back Jon Irazabal (1.87m tall) is worth 600,000 euros. And striker Rodrigo Holgado (1.80m) is worth 800,000 euros.

Remember, the two most valuable players on the Vietnamese team are Vietnamese-Czech goalkeeper Nguyen Filip (Czech Republic) and Vietnamese-Czech defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh (France), who are only worth 500,000 euros.

Back at practice, coach Peter Cklamovski and his players showed great confidence and comfort before the important match with Vietnam. This is the match in which Malaysia is determined to change history, defeating Vietnam after more than 10 years of not being able to win.

With the quality of Malaysia's squad, the Vietnamese team needs to be extremely careful to be able to win as coach Kim Sang Sik wishes.
