Since the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training has coordinated with publishers and distributors to agree on a supply plan. Schools are required to publicly disclose the textbook catalog and inform parents early to avoid rush shopping close to the opening day.
" The goal is to ensure adequate and timely supply, and to prevent a shortage of books that affects students' learning," affirmed Dr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training.
According to Ca Mau Book and Equipment Joint Stock Company, by August 21, the unit had received more than 2.9 million copies of books, including nearly 2 million textbooks; and had put about 2.6 million copies on the market, basically meeting demand. Notably, the price of textbooks this school year decreased by 10-15% compared to last year.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Gam, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Book and Equipment Joint Stock Company, said: “In addition to textbooks, we have prepared a full range of notebooks, learning tools and reference books so that parents and students have many options. The company also implements online sales and home delivery, helping parents save time and avoid crowded shopping situations.”
Not only providing books, many schools in the province also actively mobilize and give books to students in difficult circumstances.

At Quang Trung Primary School (Tan Thanh Ward), since the end of the previous school year, the school has received many sets of books supported by students and benefactors to give to poor students. Mr. Ly Ngoc Hien, Vice Principal of the school, shared: “The school always pays attention to supporting books for disadvantaged students. This not only helps them have better learning conditions but also encourages them to be more confident when entering the new school year.”
For parents, having a complete and convenient textbook set also brings a lot of joy. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lua, Hamlet 26, Tan Xuyen Ward said: “This year, buying books is easier, the price of books is also reduced, and there is also a home delivery service. My family is very assured because my children have enough books before the first day of school.”

It can be seen that, with the initiative of the education sector, the efforts of publishing units and the support of society, up to this point, Ca Mau has basically ensured enough textbooks for students before the new school year. This is an important premise, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning, creating conditions for the 2025-2026 school year to take place smoothly and effectively./.
