The report at the conference affirmed that in July 2025, the General Staff directed the entire army to strictly maintain combat readiness; strictly manage airspace, sea, border, inland, and cyberspace; firmly grasp and accurately forecast the situation, firmly protect sovereignty and territory.

Agencies and units have seriously implemented the direction of the Head of the Ministry of National Defense and the Head of the General Staff on strengthening the grasp of the internal and external situation, closely managing border routes and key areas; increasing on-duty forces, developing combat plans, and being ready to handle situations.

The entire army organized training, drills, competitions, and sports events strictly, according to the program and plan; the forces participating in the parade and marching in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day on September 2nd practiced and trained to ensure quality and efficiency. The forces strictly maintained the rescue and relief on-call regime, grasped the situation, and promptly and effectively handled situations.

Along with mobilizing forces to respond to storm No. 3 and the post-storm circulation causing widespread flooding in several provinces and regions of the North and North Central regions, the General Staff directed 10 flights, combining waterways and roads to transport more than 23.5 tons of relief goods to people in several communes of Nghe An province in flooded areas.

The high-performance sports delegation competed in 33 national and international tournaments, winning 505 medals of all kinds and breaking 10 records; the Army's military shooting delegation competed in the Armed Forces Shooting Championship in the Republic of Belarus, winning 11 sets of medals, ranking second overall.

Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended the outstanding results in the implementation of tasks of agencies and units in the past time. To successfully complete the tasks in August and the following period, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the entire army to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, closely manage the airspace, sea, border, inland, and cyberspace; grasp, assess, and accurately forecast the world and regional situation, promptly advise and effectively handle situations, avoid being passive or surprised, and firmly protect territorial sovereignty. Coordinate with the police force to maintain security and order nationwide; deploy measures to ensure security and safety for activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Along with strict management of border routes, seas, and islands, especially key areas, the forces have strengthened immigration control, promptly detected, prevented, and handled reactionary and terrorist elements illegally entering Vietnam across the border in accordance with the law. At the same time, they have increased propaganda, patrols, chased away, and prevented foreign ships from violating and encroaching on Vietnam's waters; ensured flight safety, and strictly managed unmanned aircraft and other flying vehicles in accordance with regulations. The entire army strictly maintained the rescue and relief on-call regime at all levels, proactively grasped the situation, advised, and proposed timely and effective handling of situations; strengthened inspection and review of military areas, and ensured the safety of units and warehouses.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong noted that the entire army must organize training, education, drills, competitions, and sports events closely, according to the program and plan; the forces participating in the parade and marching in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 must organize training, joint practice, preliminary rehearsal, and general rehearsal to ensure quality and safety.
