Colonel Mai Van Kiem, Deputy Head of the Ship Engineering Department, Military Engineering Department, Army Corps, chaired the training course and inspected ship engineering work.
Lifesaving work on ships is a particularly important task for officers, employees and soldiers assigned to ships. Therefore, all subjects assigned to ships must fully meet the requirements of knowledge, skills and maintain them regularly and continuously when any incident or situation at sea that threatens the lives of people on board occurs, they must apply it to escape from the danger zone to ensure survival.
This training course equips officers, technical staff, and soldiers on board with understanding and basic knowledge and practical skills in using life-saving equipment on board, focusing on inflatable life rafts (techniques for using life rafts, using technical equipment on life rafts, swimming techniques when using personal life jackets, swimming techniques to approach and disembark life rafts, techniques for launching inflatable life rafts from the ship into the sea...) to ensure survival when the ship encounters an accident. Trainees participating in the training course are trained in theory and practice by experienced lecturers from Hai Phong Polytechnic College, which has extensive experience in training crew members and issuing international certificates.
During this training session, 151 comrades from the Quang Ngai Provincial Militia Squadron, Brigade 655/Department of HC-KT and Da Nang City Border Guard were trained in lifesaving work on ships.
Also during this period, the Military Technical Department, the service, coordinated with the HC-KT Department of Military Region 5 to conduct an inspection of technical work on ships in 2025, to ensure that equipment and vehicles are always maintained in good technical condition, ready to perform effective tasks at sea.
