Da Nang requests immediate investment in 5 locations in the Free Trade Zone

Da Nang City has just issued Plan No. 07/KH-UBND on implementing the Prime Minister's Decision on establishing Da Nang Free Trade Zone.

Accordingly, the Chairman of Da Nang City, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, requested relevant agencies and units from now until the end of 2025 to develop a dossier to propose additional new policies to attract investment in the Da Nang Free Trade Zone in addition to the policies stipulated in Resolution 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and pilot a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City; including the pilot establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone from January 1, 2025.

Notably, the leaders of Da Nang City requested to immediately implement tasks on adjusting planning at all levels, ensuring current regulations and related procedures on land within the boundaries of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone for 5 locations that can be done immediately.

Specifically, location 2 is part of Lien Chieu Industrial Park in Hai Van ward with an area of 77 hectares; location 3 is in Hai Van ward with an area of 500 hectares.

Location 5 is in Ba Na commune, located in Ba Na - Suoi Mo Tourist Area Complex with an area of 90 hectares; location 6 is in Ba Na commune, a functional area of Suon Doi Urban Sub-area, with an area of 154 hectares; location 7 is in Ba Na commune and Hoa Vang commune with an area of 401 hectares.

The Chairman of Da Nang City also requested to urgently develop a plan to clear the land at densely populated locations in locations 1 and 4.

Da Nang City assigns departments and branches to research and develop policies to support investors in investing in the construction of technical infrastructure and social infrastructure in the Da Nang Free Trade Zone; policies to support site clearance costs for strategic investors in densely populated locations with high site clearance costs.

In addition, develop a set of criteria for selecting strategic investors and secondary investors; organize investment promotion activities, select investors; coordinate investment promotion activities between the Da Nang Free Trade Zone and the International Financial Center in Da Nang.

The free trade zone will create development momentum for Da Nang city.

The leaders of Da Nang City also requested to study, survey, propose to expand and adjust the boundary of Da Nang Free Trade Zone to the South to prepare for the preparation of the dossier to adjust the boundary of Da Nang Free Trade Zone at the appropriate time...

To implement the Free Trade Zone, Da Nang City also decided to complete the Working Group to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.

Accordingly, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet is the Head of the Working Group.

Vice Chairman of Da Nang City, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong is the Standing Deputy Head of the Working Group; the Deputy Heads of the Working Group include: Mr. Vu Quang Hung - Head of the Management Board of the City's High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong - Director of the City's Department of Industry and Trade, Mr. Duong Xuan Sinh - Head of the Customs Branch of Region XII.

The working group is responsible for advising the City People's Committee on implementing the activities of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
