"This year is a special milestone as the whole country celebrates the 80th anniversary of National Day. Pottery villagers are exploring new products, following trends to both celebrate the great festival and change designs to closely follow daily life" - an artisan from Thanh Ha pottery village introduced to visitors on the morning of August 31.

The death anniversary of the ancestors is a religious activity organized annually by the government and the ancient pottery village community of Hoi An. This year, the event was held more solemnly on August 31 and September 1 because the craft village was assigned to the new management apparatus of Hoi An Tay ward after the merger.

On the first morning of the anniversary, many tourists flocked to check in and experience. Many people were excited to see ceramic products "catching the trend" of Independence Day such as large-size vases with red flags and yellow stars, ceramic vases designed in the shape of Hanoi's flagpole, and vases with Vietnam's map...

Chairman of Hoi An Tay Ward People's Committee Bui Van Dung said that Thanh Ha pottery village community is currently living well thanks to pottery making combined with tourism.

On average, each year the craft village welcomes 300,000 - 400,000 visitors. Thanks to the good revenue, activities to honor and preserve the craft village are being invested in.

Compared to other pottery villages across the country, Thanh Ha pottery village is small in scale and has limited products on the market, but it attracts many tourists thanks to its storytelling.

This is also the most famous craft village in Da Nang , always creating its own mark thanks to its raw, handmade ceramics.
