There have been 1,375 million donations of nearly 272 billion VND for the Cuban people.

After 3 days of launching, the Campaign to Support the Cuban People has received enthusiastic responses from millions of Vietnamese hearts, with donations of nearly 272 billion VND and continuing to increase.

As of 6 p.m. on August 16, the "65 years of Vietnam-Cuba friendship" campaign to support the Cuban people, chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in coordination with central departments, ministries, branches and organizations, had received nearly 272 billion VND in donations.

The program's donation account has 1.375 million donations.

Sharing about the results achieved, Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, shared that he was truly moved and grateful for the enthusiastic participation of millions of Vietnamese people, showing a special love for the people and brotherly country of Cuba.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, immediately after the launching ceremony on August 13, millions of people participated in supporting. Just 30 hours after the launching ceremony, the program made a miracle by achieving the minimum target of the Program of 65 billion VND. And even more touching, after 48 hours, the amount of support mobilized for the Cuban people exceeded the Program's target by more than 200% - more than 130 billion VND.

"This shows the extremely warm affection, a special respect that every Vietnamese person wishes to have for the country and people of Cuba. It also affirms that Cuba has a very special place in the hearts of every Vietnamese person," Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh affirmed.

According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Program will continue to be implemented for 65 days of mobilization (from August 13 to October 16, 2025).

Organizations, individuals, people and organizations can participate by supporting funds in many forms: Donating among cadres, members, union members, workers at agencies, organizations, schools and residential communities; scanning the QR code of the Vietnam Red Cross Society for transfer, donation boxes in public places, mobile applications (Charity App, Viettel Money); the website of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; organizing creative emulation movements in schools such as: Writing letters, donating "small plans" to support Cuban children./.
