Announcement of Decision to establish Bac Cuong Secondary and High School

On the morning of June 10, the Department of Education and Training announced the Decision to establish Bac Cuong Secondary and High School (Lao Cai city) and the school's personnel decisions.

According to Decision 1606/QD-UBND dated May 21, 2025 of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School, the school was established on the basis of upgrading Bac Cuong Secondary School (Lao Cai city) from June 1, 2025. The school's headquarters is located at No. 001, Phan Ke Binh Street, Group 19, Bac Cuong Ward (Lao Cai city). The school is a public general education institution of the national education system, directly under and managed by the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Bac Cuong Secondary School will have 28 classes with 1,209 students; the total number of managers, teachers and staff is 53, of which 47 teachers are directly involved in teaching. According to the roadmap, the expected scale of the 2025-2026 school year will be 33 classes with more than 1,200 students, including 3 10th grade classes with 120 students.

On this occasion, the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province also announced decisions on the transfer and appointment of the positions of Principal, Vice Principal and the transfer of teachers and staff in the school. Mr. Nguyen Cao Son, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs - Social Affairs, Office of the Provincial People's Committee was appointed as Principal of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School.

The establishment of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School is to meet the people's aspirations, in accordance with the requirement of increasing the number of students entering secondary and high schools in Lao Cai city.

After being newly established and developed according to the planned roadmap, the school will be invested in new, synchronous, modern facilities, convenient for management and teaching, meeting the learning needs of students in the coming period.
