Hanoi police announced amnesty decision for 176 prisoners

At 2 Detention Camps of Hanoi City Police, there are 176 prisoners granted amnesty in the second phase in 2025.

On the morning of September 1, Detention Camp No. 1 and No. 2 under Hanoi City Police solemnly held the Ceremony to announce the second amnesty decision in 2025.

To make the amnesty work truly transparent and effective, Detention Camp No. 1 and No. 2 have disseminated to each prisoner about the subjects and conditions for consideration for amnesty; based on the results of emulation, training, and reform of each prisoner, they have organized for prisoners to introduce themselves and vote for public confidence.

After the announcement of the President 's amnesty decision, the Detention Centers organized the amnesty procedures, provided funds and new uniforms for the amnestied people. During this period, representatives of the functional departments of the City Police came to guide the implementation of the regulations on expunging criminal records for people who were amnestied on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

In addition, in order to facilitate the return of pardoned persons to their localities, the City Police have directed functional departments and commune-level police to advise local Party committees and authorities on plans to receive, manage, educate and help pardoned persons reintegrate into the community; overcome difficulties and inferiority complexes; and strive to become useful citizens for their families and society.

With the spirit of "abiding by the law, ensuring democracy, objectivity, fairness, publicity, transparency and strictness, correct subjects, prescribed conditions, not allowing errors and negativity to occur", Hanoi Police have completed the implementation of the President's Decision on the second phase of amnesty in 2025.

Thereby affirming the lenient policy of the Party, State and the humane tradition of the nation towards those who have made mistakes and know how to repent and reform themselves to become useful people for society; at the same time, encouraging other prisoners to continue to strive, study, and practice to progress in order to enjoy lenient policies.
