On August 12, within the framework of the Vietnam - Korea Economic Forum held in Seoul (Korea), Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Hyosung Heavy Industries Group (Korea) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening up opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
EVN and Hyosung will coordinate to research and implement a number of technical cooperation contents, aiming to ensure safe and stable operation of Vietnam's power system.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hyosung Group is a concrete step in EVN's roadmap for developing smart grids and digital transformation, while taking advantage of the capacity and experience of Hyosung - the world's leading power industry enterprise that has been operating in Vietnam since 2007 and officially participating in the electricity sector since 2018 through owning shares in Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation (EEMC).
The Vietnam - Korea Economic Forum with the theme "Cooperation to develop production chains in the new era!" was jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (MOTIE), the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), and the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea, on the occasion of the State visit to Korea by General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly.
