Appearing on the TV show Good Morning Britain recently, former physics teacher Kirsty Buchan (34 years old) spoke up to explain her decision to sell 18+ content on an “adult” platform. Previously, she was fired by the board of directors of Bannerman High School in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, for having an inappropriate “side job”.
Ms. Kirsty said that some boys at her high school discovered that she was selling 18+ content on an “adult” platform, and then they started spreading sensitive images of Ms. Kirsty. When this “reached the ears” of the school board, she got into big trouble and was fired. The incident immediately attracted the attention of the British media and public.

When she appeared on Good Morning Britain recently, Kirsty said she had no regrets about what she had done. She was forced to set up an account to sell 18+ content to cover expenses when her life fell into poverty. At that time, her son was seriously ill, her grandmother was being treated for cancer, and she was a single mother with no one to support her.
When asked about her earnings from the “adult” platform, Kirsty admitted that at one point she earned nearly £60,000 (more than 2 billion VND) in a month. She also said that she used a different name, wore a wig and heavy makeup in the hope that no one would recognise her.
“I knew there would be risks. I even talked to my son beforehand, who is a pretty sensible teenager. Only then did I decide to open an account to sell 18+ content,” she said.
Ms Kirsty also admitted that once sensitive content was spread, this would affect the relationship between teachers and students. However, after the incident, Ms Kirsty still maintained contact with many former students.
After Kirsty appeared on television, the UK online community was abuzz with comments. Many people sympathized with Kirsty's difficult situation, but many also condemned her for operating on an 18+ platform when she herself was a teacher and had taught many minors.

When faced with criticism and mixed reviews, Kirsty affirmed that she did not avoid responsibility (Photo: DM).
“Is she going to teach female students that it is acceptable to take off their clothes to earn money? Is this the example that the school, parents and students have to accept on the podium? Accepting to trade off to earn more money means she cannot continue to stand on the podium. This is completely fair,” a netizen expressed his indignation.
“No matter what the circumstances, a teacher must maintain her professional dignity. She cannot be a teacher and sell erotic photos online. When no one else helps her, she has to help herself, but at the same time, she has to accept the price,” another netizen analyzed.
When asked if she wanted to return to teaching, Kirsty said frankly: "No, I used to suffer from insomnia and lack of sleep due to the large workload and pressure, and the salary was not high."
When faced with criticism and mixed reviews, Kirsty insists she does not shirk responsibility. She considers what happened to her a vivid real-life lesson for all who know her story.
“I’m not advocating anyone else do what I did, but in my situation, I was really desperate for money. I had to do what I had to do,” Kirsty said.
