According to the AFC allocation, the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women's season will have 7 clubs that will go straight to the group stage. These are representative clubs from Australia, Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, UAE and Iran.
Meanwhile, representatives of 19 other football nations including Southeast Asian teams such as the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia... will have to participate in the qualifying round.
Accordingly, the 19 clubs participating in the qualifying round will be divided into 5 groups, 4 groups of 4 teams and 1 group of 3 teams.
After the qualifying round, the top five teams will advance to the group stage of the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women.
Thus, the group stage of the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women's will have the participation of 12 teams, equivalent to last season.
In the 2024-2025 season, the AFC Women's Champions League will also have 12 teams participating in the group stage. Of which, Southeast Asia has 3 representatives going straight to the group stage. In addition to Ho Chi Minh City Club, there are also clubs from Thailand and the Philippines.
However, after the unsuccessful 2024-2025 season, Thai and Philippine clubs did not have tickets to the group stage directly. On the contrary, having reached the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League last season, Ho Chi Minh City Club helped Vietnamese women's football get a ticket to the group stage directly.
And Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will also represent Vietnamese football in this arena in the 2025-2026 season. The 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women's Group Stage will kick off in September this year.
