Before entering the final round, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club (HAGL) announced the farewell of 4 pillars: Tran Minh Vuong, Chau Ngoc Quang, Tran Bao Toan and Dung Quang Nho, making fans regretful. Although not in the first course of HAGL - Arsenal JMG Academy, Minh Vuong and Ngoc Quang are both quality players, grown up from the mountain town team.
This midfielder duo is also the last veteran still attached to HAGL after their peers such as Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Van Toan, Tuan Anh, Hong Duy or Van Thanh... have all joined new teams and achieved great results in the domestic arena.
After saying goodbye to the star players of the first batch, the midfield of HAGL Club is operated by the skillful technique, sharp passing vision, and dangerous finishing of Minh Vuong. For many consecutive seasons, this "conductor" born in 1995 has always held the position of captain, the spiritual leader, an important pillar helping the Pleiku team overcome the tough relegation battles in the V-League.

Leaving the mountain town football team, Minh Vuong was emotional on the day of saying goodbye to the cradle that had nurtured him to adulthood. Besides the regret of not being able to help HAGL win the domestic championship title, Minh Vuong also has no regrets about the years of having to compete for relegation with his team.
After the match against Quang Nam Club at home on June 22, Minh Vuong shed tears when saying goodbye to Gia Lai football fans. "I don't know if this is my second home or not, but if I hadn't been here since I was a child, I'm not sure I could have achieved the position I have today," he said.
To achieve today's achievements, Minh Vuong acknowledged the training and investment of Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc - Chairman of HAGL Club. When he was still a talented player, he and his father went to Gia Lai to take the entrance exam for the first class of HAGL Academy but were eliminated due to poor physical condition. However, Mr. Duc still kept this Thai Binh -born player and other talents to nurture in the HAGL gifted class.
With perseverance in training and showing his talent, Minh Vuong was promoted to the HAGL first team, playing in the V-League since 2013. Since then, he has become an important piece in the HAGL squad and has scored 49 goals in 234 appearances.
After 18 years of dedication to HAGL, Minh Vuong decided to find a new destination to gain more experiences and challenges in his football career. At the age of 30, although he no longer has the physical strength to compete consistently, his experience and courage are still what many big teams need.
Similarly, Ngoc Quang, Quang Nho, Bao Toan are also passionate warriors of HAGL and choosing to leave after the end of V-League 2024-2025 is not easy for these players. However, if they want to have the championship title like their seniors Tuan Anh, Van Toan, Hong Duy or Van Thanh, it is understandable that they decided to leave HAGL at this time. Ngoc Quang, Quang Nho, Bao Toan will wear the shirt of the "newbie" V-League - Ninh Binh Club, while Minh Vuong has not yet decided his future.
Preparing for the new season, HAGL still persists in its priority goal of creating opportunities for young talents trained by the club to experience the V-League arena.
