Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, Quang Ninh province has identified as a key task to increase labor productivity, improve service quality and create a modern working environment. With that spirit, the entire political system from the province to the grassroots has joined in.
Right from the beginning of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor issued an action plan, launched the emulation movement "Innovation and digital transformation" in the entire union system, and at the same time launched the movement "Digital literacy" to popularize basic digital skills for union members and workers.
In the first 6 months of the year, the province organized dozens of training courses and digital skills conferences for more than 8,000 officials and union members. The content is close to and closely related to practical needs: Using online public services, applying VNeID, electronic payment, securing personal information, exploiting smart software to serve work and life. Up to now, the union member management and union accounting software system has been widely deployed, with about 70% of union member data updated in the province.
Notably, the participation of businesses is also very strong. Many units have built plans for training and fostering digital skills as an important part of their human resource development strategy. Grassroots unions have become a "bridge" to deploy training programs that meet job requirements, helping workers confidently master technology. Thereby, the spirit of "Leaving no one behind" is gradually appearing in every industry, every business, every workshop, and every team.
Practice from businesses
At Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., a floor panel manufacturing enterprise with more than 800 employees, modern machinery and equipment play a key role. Immediately after recruitment, the union coordinates with the company's management to organize a 4-6 month training program to help workers master the skills of using machinery.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Dang, a worker at Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., shared: At first, I was confused and unfamiliar with the equipment. Thanks to the company and the union's dedicated training, I have mastered the operation of modern machinery. Now my work is much more convenient, my income is stable, and my life has improved.
Chairwoman of the Labor Union of Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., Dao Thi Thuy, said: We consider training in the use of machinery and digital equipment a mandatory requirement so that workers do not fall behind. The Union always accompanies and proposes a systematic training policy so that each worker can master technology.
In the service sector, Alacarte Ha Long Joint Stock Company with 240 employees has digitized all management activities from human resources, room service, revenue, tax, insurance, to VNeID application, public services. Ms. Dang Thi Nhu Hieu, Head of the company's Human Resources Department, said: Any position requires operations on specialized software. Therefore, the company organizes training for new employees, and re-training when the software is upgraded. Thanks to that, 100% of the company's employees are proficient in technology, meeting job requirements.
A modern working environment combined with digital technology has helped employees at Alacarte Joint Stock Company practice professionalism, improve productivity and meet international service standards.
In the field of electronics manufacturing, the Yazaki Hai Phong Co., Ltd. Branch in Quang Ninh also focuses on applying digital technology. Not only in production, the company's union also puts into use the electronic administrative system. Chairman of the company's union Bui Duc Tung said: The union has applied the electronic administrative system, thanks to which workers can easily look up information about regimes, policies, and benefits in a transparent and quick manner. This not only saves time but also creates trust among union members in the union organization.
From Lion Core, Alacarte to Yazaki, it can be seen that digital transformation is entering every industry, every field, every job position. The common point is that the union always accompanies and supports workers so that they do not fall behind. This is the realization of the goal set by the Provincial Federation of Labor, by 2027, 80% of union members and workers will be equipped with digital skills; in the period of 2028-2030, it aims to reach 100%.
In that journey, workers are not only beneficiaries, but also direct participants in spreading digital knowledge. The quick adaptation, the will to learn, and the spirit of innovation of the workers are the guarantee for Quang Ninh to develop quickly and sustainably, towards the goal of becoming a model province, rich, beautiful, civilized, and modern.
Digital transformation is not only a technological revolution, but also a revolution in awareness and action. With the cooperation of the entire political system, businesses, unions and workers themselves, this journey will certainly not leave any worker behind.
