Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Nguyen Kim Ho, Director of the Provincial Statistics Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 Agricultural and Rural Census, said that the 2025 census has 6 new points compared to previous censuses. Specifically, the survey content has been expanded, adding many new criteria to better meet the information needs for policy making, clearly reflecting the current situation of agriculture, structural transformation and the lives of rural people.
The census is a large-scale, complex and extremely important statistical activity aimed at collecting complete and accurate information on the agricultural and rural situation and the lives of residents in this area. The results of the census will be an important database for the Government and authorities at all levels to formulate policies for agricultural development, new rural development, improving the quality of life for people and promoting sustainable development.
One of the highlights of the census is the strong application of information technology, integration of available administrative data, updating sustainable development indicators and information on digital transformation in agriculture. The survey form was redesigned to be concise and easy to understand, helping to improve the quality and accuracy of the information collected.
At the conference, delegates were informed about the survey plan and comprehensively practiced important tasks such as: detailed instructions on the survey form filling process, including the agricultural, forestry and fishery household survey form; farm survey form and commune-level information collection form. Each type of form is designed according to a standardized structure, ensuring the correct, sufficient and timely collection of important information for later synthesis and analysis.
Delegates were also instructed on how to use electronic survey software (CAPI and Webform), online monitoring and management systems; and propaganda work for the census to help localities carry out synchronous and effective communication, creating consensus and active cooperation from the people.
