On August 21, according to the reporter's records, the investor mobilized workers and equipment to the damaged location on the last section of Y Ngong road connecting to Provincial Road 1.
This road has seriously degraded with many potholes and deep ditches, causing difficulties and potential traffic accidents for people and vehicles.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dong, acting director of the Dak Lak Province Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said: “We have directed workers to clear and dredge drainage ditches on both sides of the road to limit stagnation and flooding during heavy rains. After the weather is favorable, we will pour crushed stone and compact it to flatten the road surface, ensuring safer travel for people.”
Previously, Dak Lak Newspaper published an article “People hope for the early completion of the Y Ngong road project” , reflecting on the current state of damage and traffic insecurity at the end of the Y Ngong road intersection with Provincial Road 1. The article received great attention from public opinion and authorities.
Regarding this reflection, at the regular press conference in July 2025 held on the morning of August 12, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai requested the project investor to quickly fix the damaged location, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles traveling through the road section.
It is known that the Project to Expand and Upgrade Y Ngong Road, Mai Xuan Thuong - Provincial Road 1 section, with a length of 2.1 km, a total investment of more than 42 billion VND, started construction in 2011. However, due to high land clearance costs, the project was delayed and not completed on schedule.
