Regional Customs Branch XVIII: Managing customs activities of the new Dong Nai province

According to Decision No. 2019/QD-BTC dated June 11, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance on amending and supplementing a number of articles regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department, from June 11, 2025, the Regional Customs Branch XVIII will manage the two provinces of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai.

The amendment and supplementation of customs management areas for the Regional Customs Branch XVIII will be consistent with the National Assembly 's resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units.

According to Resolution 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, from June 12, 2025, the entire natural area and population of Binh Phuoc province and Dong Nai province will be arranged into a new province called Dong Nai province. After the arrangement, the new Dong Nai province will have a natural area of ​​over 12.7 thousand ^km2 and a population of over 4.4 million people. The new Dong Nai province borders the provinces of Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

According to the report on the review of finances, assets, and headquarters according to the Merger Arrangement Project of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, in 2025, Dong Nai province has estimated that the budget revenue from the import-export sector will reach over 21.5 trillion VND. Of which, the revenue from the old Dong Nai province is 20 trillion VND; the revenue from the old Binh Phuoc province is 1.5 trillion VND.
