Recent poll results released on June 20 show that Democratic candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is receiving support from 15-20% of voters in this party.

Although the survey numbers are not comparable to the level of trust people have for incumbent President Joe Biden, the above mark still leaves many surprises and causes concern for Democratic Party members.

Democratic strategists are divided over how to deal with Kennedy. Some say Biden should keep his eyes off Kennedy to avoid drawing attention to him.

Meanwhile, opposing opinions assert that ignoring Mr. Kennedy's campaign progress is too risky. Even if he is not an equal opponent, Mr. Kennedy can still influence and reduce the number of votes for the incumbent President.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 69, the son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of the late US President John F. Kennedy, filed an application with the Federal Election Commission on April 5 to become the Democratic candidate for the 2024 US presidential election.

Kennedy Jr. has been criticized by Democrats in the past for his skepticism about the Covid-19 vaccine. He was banned from YouTube and Instagram for allegedly spreading misinformation about vaccines and the Covid-19 pandemic.
