Initial information said that Mr. Phong was arrested in connection with violations during his time working at Cadovimex Seafood Processing and Import-Export Joint Stock Company (CDV).

On November 8, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense temporarily detained Mr. Tang Gia Phong (born in 1966), Chief Inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau province.

Accordingly, on the same morning, Mr. Phong was invited to the Criminal Investigation Agency of Region 6 (Ward 5, Ca Mau City, Military Region 9), then heard the arrest warrant and was taken away.

Initial information said that Mr. Phong was arrested in connection with violations during his time working at Cadovimex Seafood Processing and Import-Export Joint Stock Company (CDV).

It is known that from 2005 to July 2008, Mr. Phong worked as Chief Accountant of CDV. In August 2008, Mr. Phong held the position of Deputy General Director of CDV. After that, Mr. Phong transferred to work as an officer of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau province. After a while, Mr. Phong was appointed as Chief Inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau province until his arrest.
