'Tree' of ideas from the factory

Among the excellent workers of TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, Mr. Dang Van Hung is a prominent face and is known as the "tree" of initiative of the unit. Being honored as "Outstanding worker and member of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the first time" (organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in early 2025) is a great honor not only for him personally.

Although we had made an appointment with Mr. Hung at the TNG Branch in Nam Hoa Commune (Dong Hy), when we arrived, he was still diligently monitoring the operation of the fabric winch in the workshop. He and his colleagues monitored and adjusted the details of the equipment's operation while happily explaining: "Only when working do we know how the equipment actually operates. After work, the system stops and then runs, which is only a simulation, so it is difficult to diagnose. Listening to the description of the workers operating the machine, it is difficult to visualize accurately...".

It is also the "Automatic fabric feeder integrated fabric unwinding machine" device that he invented, which helps reduce the labor of workers, increase productivity and cut down on one person compared to the old process. This device is worth over 270 million VND/year for the Company.

At the age of 46, with more than 20 years of experience in industrial sewing services at TNG and 16 years of Party membership, but with a strong and active figure, Mr. Hung looks younger than his age.

He recounted: A few years ago, I saw that the raw material fabric unrolling stage always required 2-3 workers. They worked hard and had many potential risks of unsafety and inaccuracy when lifting the fabric rolls onto the rolling table... From knowledge and practice, I replaced it with an automatic lifting table system after assembling many mechanical parts with automatic electricity to reduce the effort of workers, increase productivity, reduce from 3 to 2, sometimes only needing 1 person to operate. I made this device to reduce the labor of workers, ensure consistent product quality, no interruptions and safety... For me, work is a creative environment, loving the job is an opportunity to inspire and nurture passion.

While working hard on his expertise and researching technical improvements, he has come up with initiatives that bring high economic value and improve working conditions for workers.

Another initiative that started with innovative thinking towards environmental protection, which he completed in 2024, was also recognized by the General Confederation of Labor. That is the initiative to recycle industrial wastewater from the steaming and drying process to use as public sanitation water. This solution helps to reuse wastewater in a reasonable way, ensuring environmental hygiene and saving costs for the Company, making a profit of over 330 million VND/year.

Originally an electrician, in 2001, after graduating from the College of Metallurgy and Mechanics, Mr. Dang Van Hung started working for TNG. Here, he constantly strives, researches and innovates to improve working conditions, contributing to the development of the business. Therefore, his main job now is safety engineering, commanding the fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue forces of the TNG Branch in Nam Hoa Commune.

He shared: Each initiative is an idea. Exploring, learning, and combining the direct production process is the basis for starting to implement technical improvements and improve the working environment. For me, creativity and innovation are my passion. Each successful initiative and improvement is like a brainchild, a motivation that helps me try harder to contribute more and more to the Company.

With his enthusiasm and contributions to the Company, Mr. Dang Van Hung was honored to receive many Certificates of Merit from the Party Committee of TNG Company, the City Party Committee, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen City, and the Trade Union of Industry and Trade.

In particular, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), he was one of 95 outstanding workers nationwide honored at the first Conference "Outstanding Workers and Party Members of the Communist Party of Vietnam".

Mr. Hung's contributions not only help the business develop but also contribute to improving the lives and working conditions of workers, motivating the young generation of workers to continue to strive.
