
On the morning of August 31, at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum, a special exhibition titled "80 Years - From That Autumn" was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2. Many people came here to visit and take souvenir photos.

At the outdoor exhibition area, people enjoyed wearing ao dai, scarves printed with the national flag and taking photos next to wartime military planes.

Arriving at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum very early, Lieutenant Dao Dinh Dung, working at Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, and his future wife took wedding photos to preserve special moments in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

"To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, we decided to take some more photos at the museum to include in our upcoming wedding photo collection. This is a solemn and proud event of the country, so we want to preserve this memorable moment," said Lieutenant Dung.

At the exhibition area of subsidy period artifacts, many people also come here to visit and take souvenir photos.

Mr. Cao Lai Chinh, a resident of Hoang Giang commune, Thanh Hoa province, and his family members visited the exhibition area displaying a collection of stamps, coupons, and food books from the subsidy period.
"When we come here and see the food books and stamps with our own eyes, we feel like we are returning to the memories of the subsidy days. Especially, on this occasion, our children have more historical knowledge and understand more about the sacrifices and contributions of our ancestors," Mr. Chinh shared.

Books for purchasing food, gasoline coupons, and fabric coupons during the subsidy period are displayed at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum.

The war artifacts exhibition area also attracts many people to visit and take pictures.

Duong Hue Anh Thu, a student at Dong Bac Ga Secondary and High School, Thanh Hoa province, said that she arrived at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum with a group of friends very early today.
"To preserve the beautiful images at the museum, I chose the ao dai to match the atmosphere of the whole country joyfully celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day," Anh Thu shared.

Two children were taken to the museum by their mother to visit and take souvenir photos. Dressed in traditional Vietnamese dress, the two children held the national flag and happily visited the area displaying wartime artifacts.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Duong, Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum, said that from August 17 to September 5, the museum will display the theme "80 years - From that autumn".
Through images and documents that are arranged in a tight, scientific and logical manner, Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum wants to express the stature and historical significance of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
In addition, the exhibits at the museum aim to highlight the contributions of the army and people of Thanh Hoa to the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 as well as the flexible and creative application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the two resistance wars against France and the US and in the period of national renewal and development.
