Warning about fake news about child kidnapping and property appropriation

According to information from Ha Tinh Provincial Police, on the morning of August 2, fake information appeared on Facebook about a child kidnapping that occurred in an area bordering Ha Tinh province, along with black and white images depicting the kidnapping scene, causing public confusion.

Specifically, through monitoring the situation on cyberspace, the police discovered that the Facebook account "Tam Nguyen" posted content about the child kidnapping at 2:03 p.m. on August 1, 2025 in the area near Ke Go Nature Reserve...

The image in the article shows two young men on a motorbike approaching and forcing a child onto the motorbike (black and white photo) and a portrait of a young boy.

This information immediately attracted the attention of the online community, with more than 1,000 shares of concern and indignation just a few hours after being posted. The article spread rapidly on many groups, forums and personal pages.

After the interaction reached a large level, the content of the post on the account "Tam Nguyen" was edited into a call for donations and support for the case of NBTN (living in Ky Thuong commune, Ha Tinh province) who was pushed down on the street by kidnappers and accidentally run over by a motorbike, losing an arm. He is currently being treated at Ha Tinh General Hospital, room 102, 5th floor, Pediatrics Department, and his family is in extremely difficult circumstances, unable to cover the costs...

However, Ky Thuong Commune Police confirmed that there is no child named NBTN in the commune as reported in the article posted by Facebook account “Tam Nguyen”.

Ha Tinh General Hospital also said that there is no case of a child with the above information being treated in room 102, 5th floor, Pediatrics Department as posted in the article.

Mr. NTT (born in 1980, hometown Cam Hung commune, Ha Tinh province, owner of Facebook account "Tam Nguyen") said that his personal Facebook account was "hacked" by another person at the end of May 2025, and currently, he cannot use this account.

Through the incident, the authorities determined that the subjects had taken control of this account to commit fraud.

The images and videos in the article were cut and pasted from a report published in the press. Then, the subjects were changed to black and white to create a feeling of sadness, causing a strong psychological impact.
