According to endoscopic experts at Can Tho Central General Hospital, endoscopic ultrasound technique is a superior combination of endoscopy and ultrasound, using an endoscope with an ultrasound probe to deeply explore lesions.
This method brings outstanding value in diagnosing and intervening in gastrointestinal, biliary, pancreatic diseases, as well as mucosal and extramucosal lesions of the digestive tract.
This technique has few complications, is safe, is performed on anesthetized patients and has high diagnostic value.
Hospital leaders said that through the implementation of the ultrasound endoscopy system, it promises to improve medical quality, support clinicians in accurately diagnosing and treating diseases quickly and effectively, bringing practical benefits to public health.
With the orientation of in-depth and complete development, in the coming time, the hospital will continue to invest in 2 more digestive endoscopy systems and 1 small intestine endoscopy system to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment for people.
