The experience of Returning to the Sacred Moment is creating a strong wave of interest in the young community. This is a special “time-travel” journey, taking visitors back to the historic moment of September 2, 1945 at Ba Dinh Square - the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam through virtual reality (VR) technology.

Here, viewers can immerse themselves in the heroic atmosphere of tens of thousands of compatriots, listening to the echoes of history as if it were happening right before their eyes.

"Returning to the sacred moment" brings a special "time-travel" experience, returning to the historic moment of September 2, 1945 at Ba Dinh Square - the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam through virtual reality (VR) technology.

Right at the launch event at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology on the afternoon of August 13, many young people were present to experience and return to the sacred moment together. Do Quang Anh, born in 2006, a student majoring in Game Design and Development, shared that this VR experience was very surprising.

“I never expected that through VR glasses I could stand right in the middle of Ba Dinh Square, watch President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, and clearly feel the rhythm of life of thousands of people around me,” Quang Anh said, adding that at first he was just curious to try the new technology, but the more he experienced it, the more emotional he felt.

You expressed that in the past, learning history was often confined to books and static images, making events seem distant.

“The VR experience helps me step into the historical space, observing every detail around me, from the eyes of the people to the rhythm of the ceremony. Every movement and sound makes me emotional and clearly feel the heroic spirit of the moment on September 2, 1945,” Quang Anh said.

Highly appreciating the experience of Returning to a special sacred moment with a "time travel" to the past, Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, History teacher at Phu Xuyen A High School ( Hanoi ), commented that VR opens up a completely new approach to the subject of History.

“Dry lessons will become more lively when students are introduced to authentic historical contexts, with vivid images, sounds and movements. Direct experience helps students remember better and longer, while also arousing curiosity and a spirit of proactive learning,” said Mr. Duong.

According to him, this technology also eliminates barriers of space and time. Right in the classroom, students can “visit” famous monuments, battlefields or museums around the world , saving time and money compared to actual trips.

VR also allows for the re-enactment of lost places or moments that could not otherwise be experienced in person, providing a more comprehensive perspective on the context and meaning of historical events.

“VR should be introduced into teaching soon so that each History lesson becomes an exciting journey, helping students not only love but also understand the past more deeply ,” Mr. Duong emphasized.

Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Tran Minh Hoa, a History teacher in Hung Yen, said that learning History using VR not only creates excitement but also deeply affects the way students think and receive knowledge.

“When students are ‘immersed’ in the role of a character, standing in the middle of a historical setting, feeling the sounds, images and rhythm of that moment, the brain will process the information as a real experience. This helps form long-term memory, completely different from passive memorization through books ,” Ms. Hoa analyzed.

According to her, when they "step into" historical events, many students express their emotions, pride and appreciation for the sacrifices of previous generations. This experience also stimulates them to associate, compare with the present and think about their role in today's society.

“Thus, learning history is no longer a dry study but becomes a journey connecting the past with real life, helping the young generation understand the value of the past and fostering pride and responsibility for the future,” said the female teacher.

The experience "Returning to the sacred moment" takes place from August 19 - 20 at the National Broadcasting Center, 58 Quan Su and from August 28 - September 5 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), within the framework of the Exhibition "Socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th National Day".
