After much information and leaked images, Honor has officially launched the Magic V5, the world's thinnest foldable phone today.
The product has a butterfly folding design, with a 6.43-inch secondary screen on the outside and when expanded, the product will have a 7.95-inch screen. Both screens use LTPO AMOLED technology, a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 5,000 nits.

When expanded, the Honor Magic V5 is only 4.1mm thin, and when folded, the thickness increases to 8.8mm. This helps the Magic V5 surpass the Oppo Find N5 to become the world's thinnest foldable phone (Oppo Find N5 is 8.9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm thick when expanded).
However, the Magic V5 is still thicker than the Mate XT, as Huawei's 3-fold screen phone is only 3.6mm thin when expanded.

Honor says that despite the Magic V5's ultra-thin design, the product still has impressive durability, especially the hinge and screen are designed to increase durability when opened and closed continuously. The product is also equipped with water and dust resistance features.
In terms of configuration, Honor Magic V5 is equipped with Qualcomm's highest-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage or 16GB RAM with 512GB/1TB storage.

The back of the product is a large camera cluster, with 3 lenses, including a 50 megapixel main camera, a 64 megapixel telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom and a 50 megapixel super wide-angle camera. The product is also equipped with laser autofocus, helping to focus faster in low light conditions.
Honor Magic V5 is equipped with 2 selfie cameras on 2 screens (inside and outside) both with 20 megapixel resolution.

Despite its ultra-slim design, the Honor Magic V5 is still equipped with a 6,100mAh battery, which is one of the largest in the mobile market. This is thanks to Silicon-Carbon Lithium-ion battery technology, an improved lithium-ion battery that uses silicon-carbon composite materials, which increases energy density but is thinner than conventional lithium-ion batteries.

The product supports a maximum charging capacity of 66W and supports wireless reverse charging for other products.
The Honor Magic V5 will be available first in China, starting at 8,999 yuan (US$1,499) and going all the way up to 10,999 yuan (US$1,799). Honor says the product will be available internationally soon.
