On the afternoon of August 25, after inspecting the scene of expressways, national highways, and seaports, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan called for an urgent meeting to agree on a plan to organize traffic and prevent storm No. 5. Considering that storm No. 5 is very strong and can cause damage no less than previous strong storms that have hit Vietnam, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan requested all parties to strengthen coordination to perform assigned tasks well according to the plan. In the spirit of "4 on-site", it is necessary to assign people to be on duty, regularly check, especially at vulnerable places such as suspension bridges, ferry terminals, ferry terminals, spillways, etc., and dangerous places must absolutely prohibit people and vehicles from circulating.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration, said: At this time, the storm is approaching the shore, and there is not much time left. In the immediate future, the Administration has requested that bus stations in the area not allow passenger cars and transport vehicles to depart. Bus stations outside the storm-affected area, but have routes and routes passing through the storm's landing area, must also temporarily stop allowing vehicles to depart. On the road, the Vietnam Road Administration will coordinate with the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) to organize traffic flow from a distance, restricting and prohibiting vehicles from traveling towards the storm's center in Nghe An. The ban is from the QL45 intersection, km351 of the QL45 - Nghi Son expressway (Thanh Hoa) to the Vung Ang intersection, km568 (Ha Tinh).
The Traffic Police Department also confirmed that from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today (August 25), vehicles are prohibited from entering the highway towards the storm's center.

In addition, following the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the steering committee meeting this morning, the Vietnam Road Administration has coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to issue warnings for vehicles not to enter the storm's eye. People in the area where the storm is forecast to pass through should not go out on the road from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In the storm's affected area, vehicles must find shelter while the storm passes. At the same time, all people and vehicles are prohibited from operating on suspension bridges, ferries, weak bridges, areas at risk of landslides, and overflow tunnels, and people are assigned to guard and patrol the road.
Also related to storm No. 5, information from Vietnam Railways Corporation said that due to the impact of storm No. 5 (storm Kajiki), the railway stopped running trains NA1, NA2 and train SE9 departing on August 25.

Passengers with tickets for this train will return their tickets at the station without any charge, the return period is no more than 30 days (from the date of train suspension). Specifically, between Hanoi - Vinh, train NA1 departing from Hanoi station at 9:50 p.m. will stop running; train NA2 departing from Vinh station at 9:30 p.m. will stop running. Between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, train SE9 departing from Hanoi station at 12:50 p.m. will stop running.
Thus, currently on the North-South railway line, there are still pairs of trains running through the North Central provinces - the provinces most affected by storm No. 5, including: Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE10, SE11/SE12; Hanoi - Da Nang passenger train SE19/SE20.
Previously, according to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM), on August 23 and 24, storm No. 5 (Kajiki) had a major impact on flight operations in the area. Specifically, the number of flights affected by storm No. 5 on August 23 was 225. On August 24, 170 flights had to change routes, 35 flights had to be canceled due to airport closures (Tho Xuan airport had 26 flights and Dong Hoi airport had 9 flights), and 5 flights had to be diverted to alternate airports.
