Airports enter peak season welcoming record number of passengers

According to information from Noi Bai International Airport, on the occasion of National Day, September 2, the number of passengers passing through Noi Bai has increased and will increase in the 5 days from August 29 to September 2, especially on August 30, it is expected to reach nearly 110,000 arrivals with 66,000 domestic passengers and 44,000 international passengers - the highest level ever.

To meet the demand, the airport and airlines maintain a 24/7 duty regime at the Operations Coordination Center (AOCC), arranging personnel to promptly handle incidents. Some aircraft parked overnight are transferred to neighboring airports, making room for international flights.

It is expected that on August 30, there will be nearly 110,000 passengers passing through Noi Bai International Airport.

At Tan Son Nhat Airport, the expected passenger volume is 125,000 per day, including 75,000 domestic passengers and 50,000 international passengers, an increase of about 6% compared to normal days. On the two peak days of August 30 and September 2, the airport served about 750 flights with 130,000 passengers. All domestic flights have been transferred to Terminal T3, increasing service capacity.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that during the holiday, airports across the country are expected to welcome more than 1.8 million passengers with about 11,000 flights, concentrated at Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang , Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc. The airports have completed preparations for infrastructure, equipment, and human resources, and applied biometrics and VNeID at security gates to shorten the time for passengers to complete procedures.

Ground staff are deployed in key areas to regulate passenger flow. Aviation security has been upgraded to level 1, with increased baggage screening, camera surveillance and continuous patrols, ensuring absolute safety during peak times.
