In response to the above policy, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued Plan No. 157/KH-UBND dated July 5, 2024 to implement Resolution No. 47/NQ-CP dated April 15, 2024 of the Government, and assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province to preside over the implementation. This is an important step demonstrating Ca Mau's initiative and determination in innovating and improving external information work in the context of integration. On that basis, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province also proactively issued Plan No. 41/KH-SVHTTDL to specify the content of Plan 157/KH-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee.
The plan sets out the goal of improving the effectiveness of foreign information activities to promote the image of the land, people, history, culture, and potential of the province, thereby promoting investment attraction and comprehensive economic and social development cooperation between Ca Mau province and other localities in the country and internationally in an increasingly effective and practical manner. In addition, it is necessary to raise awareness among all levels, sectors, localities and people in the province about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on foreign information work in the integration period, linking the implementation of foreign information work with the strategic goals and tasks of national development set out in Resolution XIII of the Party and Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress. At the same time, effectively deploy information and propaganda work on foreign information activities on mass media and social networks.

The focus of the plan is the synchronous coordination between all levels and sectors, from reviewing and giving opinions to perfect the legal corridor, strengthening inspection, examination and supervision, to promoting propaganda and promoting the image of Ca Mau on domestic and foreign media channels.
One of the core tasks in Plan No. 41/KH-SVHTTDL is to review and participate in giving opinions, proposing amendments and supplements to legal documents related to foreign information activities to ensure that legal regulations always keep up with the development of society, creating a solid legal corridor for sustainable development of foreign information work. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, timely detection and handling of violations in the field of foreign information in the province. This not only helps maintain a healthy and accurate information environment but also enhances the responsibility of agencies, units and individuals participating in foreign information activities in the area.
In particular, maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the Team for Handling Bad and Toxic Information in the province is also considered an urgent task in the context of increasingly complex fake news and distorted information on cyberspace. This working group plays an important role in screening, verifying information and promptly refuting false and misleading arguments, protecting the reputation and image of the locality. This is an indispensable part of the comprehensive foreign information strategy, helping to ensure that official information is always prioritized and widely disseminated.
In order for Ca Mau to truly “reach out to the ocean”, the plan emphasizes the enhancement of comprehensive communication activities about Ca Mau on central and local press agencies located in the province. This is considered an effective bridge to bring the image of Ca Mau to the domestic public and international friends. Communication content is required to be constantly innovated and creative, not only focusing on economic achievements but also deeply exploiting the beauty of culture, history, people, tourism potential and other unique values of the southernmost land of the Fatherland. From there, build a vivid, multi-dimensional, attractive image of Ca Mau in the eyes of domestic and foreign investors and tourists.
In the new situation, the locality also requires innovation in content, creativity in methods, approaches, and coordination mechanisms for foreign information work, while ensuring regular and continuous updates to suit the actual situation.
With the continuous efforts, along with the initiative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, it will create an important premise for Ca Mau to realize its aspiration for sustainable development, becoming an attractive, dynamic and prosperous destination in the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.
