Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3 (WIPHA), Quang Ninh Electricity Company has directed units to proactively and synchronously deploy measures to ensure the safety of the power grid system, people and property.
Accordingly, Quang Ninh High Voltage Power Grid Enterprise has re-established on-site shifts for 110kV transformer stations without on-site operators when required. Regional Power Management Teams have arranged teams to handle power grid incidents in remote areas at risk of being cut off by floods, landslides and traffic disruptions, ensuring that forces are always ready to mobilize immediately when required, promptly serving the work of troubleshooting and restoring power supply.
In particular, pay special attention to low-lying, flooded and landslide areas such as: Ha Khanh urban area; Quang Hanh power stations along National Highway 18; landslide points at 110kV Van Don 2 and Yen Cu substations...
The Regional Power Management Teams also proactively coordinate with the authorities and local people to prune and completely clear trees inside and outside the corridors that are at risk of causing problems to the power grid. At the same time, they promote information and propaganda to disseminate electrical safety to people and workers, and the efforts of the Electricity sector during the rainy and stormy season; ensure good maintenance of the communication system and transmission lines; review backup power sources and drainage plans to proactively respond to prolonged heavy rains, ensuring safe operation of equipment; closely coordinate with the Customer Service Center of the Northern Power Corporation to update information on the impact of natural disasters on the power supply situation to promptly respond to customers.
