More than 750 poor and near-poor households are supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1174/QD-UBND on approving the adjustment and addition of the list of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the province, accordingly, 757 more poor and near-poor households will be supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

From the kindness and sharing of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, many poor and near-poor households have been supported to settle down in solid houses.

According to Decision No. 493/QD-UBND dated February 28, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the number of poor and near-poor households in need of removing temporary and dilapidated houses that have been approved is 1,995 households, of which: 1,459 households in need of new construction; 536 households in need of house repair.

After adjustment and supplementation, the number of poor and near-poor households in need of removing temporary and dilapidated houses is 2,752, of which 2,088 households need to build new houses (an increase of 629 households compared to the approved number of households); 664 households need to repair (an increase of 128 households).

The total number of households in need of temporary and dilapidated houses after adjustment and supplementation is 4,129 households, including: 2,752 poor and near-poor households; 1,265 households of people with revolutionary contributions; 112 households are beneficiaries of housing support policies from the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas.

As of June 6, the province has started to demolish 2,353 temporary and dilapidated houses, of which 851 houses have been completed and put into use.
