Additional credit package for young people to borrow money to buy a house

On June 9, the Government Office issued Notice No. 294/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of the Government Standing Committee at the meeting on the real estate market situation.

In the above document, the Government Standing Committee requested the State Bank of Vietnam to study a credit loan package for young people who want to buy a house. Cut down procedures and conditions to facilitate people and businesses to access credit capital, while strictly controlling corruption and negativity. Direct commercial banks to focus on lending and disbursing for commercial housing projects with suitable prices, promoting credit growth, contributing to achieving the growth target of 8% in 2025. Urge banks to participate in the preferential credit loan program of 120 trillion VND, and at the same time study and have a medium-term credit package with stable interest rates for commercial housing projects with suitable prices.

In addition, the Government Standing Committee requested to cut administrative procedures to the maximum, cut at least 30% of the time to handle administrative procedures; strictly handle acts of speculation, price inflation, and creating virtual fever; develop real estate projects with diverse segments and products to increase accessibility for buyers; create land funds to develop housing projects, especially social housing.
