Hai Phong City Military Command launched Youth Festival with the Fatherland's sea and islands

On May 26, at Doan 295 beach, Hai Son ward, Do Son district; Hai Phong City Military Command coordinated with Do Son District Youth Union to organize the launching ceremony of Youth Festival with the Fatherland's sea and islands and the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Attending the launching ceremony were: Colonel Pham Van Vuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the City Military Command; Pham Hoang Tuan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Son District; Ha Quoc Trinh - Head of the Mass Affairs Department, Political Department of Military Region 3. Also attending the launching ceremony were more than 300 officers and soldiers of the City Military Command and members of the Youth Union of Do Son District.

In recent times, the youth of the Command and the Youth Union of Hai Phong City have promoted the pioneering, creative and voluntary role of the youth; organized propaganda and mobilized people to firmly protect the sovereignty of Vietnam's seas and islands through many specific activities such as: "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday"; joined hands to clean up the marine environment - for a green Vietnam. In addition, the youth of the City Military Command have implemented the program "Accompanying children to school" for students in difficult circumstances.

The organizing committee presented 10 gifts to students who are children of fishermen and maritime militiamen in difficult circumstances.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 gifts to outstanding fishermen; 10 gifts to students who are children of fishermen and sea militia in difficult circumstances who have strived to achieve good academic results, each gift worth 500,000 VND.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates joined hands to clean the sea at Doan 295 beach , Hai Son ward, Do Son district. Before that, delegates attending the launching ceremony offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the No-numbered ship fleet at Wharf K15.
